I would produce a 'Create Stored Procedure' code for you to run in your MySQL, that would run on your MySQL DB. If the Perl-Code appears complicated enough, meaning if it's possible that there are two ways to go about doing the insert. I might give you two different versions for you to see which one is faster. It sounded as if, that it was pretty simple code though. As in... Take the inputs to the procedure, so then insert into the table(s) here. Let me know...
