Backend Technology : MY SQL Things will include : Website Design , Development , Admin panel , Subscription Plans System User : Admin , Installer , Supplier , Consumer The new website will be a multi-layer marketing platform for the security trade across the UK. The idea will begin with being of a place where security installers can visit, look for the latest deals from suppliers and distributors, check out the latest specs and manage their profile using their own logon by adding photos and information about their company. Eventually there will be a cost to each of the installers to be members of the site but for the initial period it will be free of charge for them to use. The suppliers will buy advertising from us (owners) where it will only be visible to installers who log in using their login details. Exclusive offers will be available from various suppliers and distributors. As the installer base builds, the suppliers and distributors will want to pay more and more to get the best advertising spot i.e. front-page banner. Finally, once the site is up and running, we will then have budget to advertise on Google and attract consumers to the site. They will be able to post jobs and look at installer profiles and invite them to quote on their job. Alternatively, if the consumer does not want to invite any installers, they will simply post a job to the site in the “jobs” section. Installers will see the job and purchase the job i.e. if the job is posted the installer will pay a fee to reveal the contact details. Pages When a consumer logs in the pages they will be able to access will be: Home About Us – A little about why we exist and how we plan on supporting the industry and brining the standards up. Find Installers – Consumer will be able to type their postcode and a list of companies will be listed, closest first. This will include a link to the installers profile where they will be able to find out what services the installer offers, their previous work photos, testimonials and view the installers liability insurance certificate. Offers – Special offers listed by installers (paid advertising) When an installer logs in the pages they will be able to access will be: Home - Homepage About Us – A little about why we exist and how we plan on supporting the industry and brining the standards up. Find Installers – Consumer will be able to type their postcode and a list of companies will be listed, closest first Offers – Special offers listed by installers (paid advertising) Login – Once logged in the login button will change to “My Account” where the installer can log into their account and update their details: Company Type (drop down box), what they do (List what they are able to provide), Photos of previous works completed, Testimonials, Logo upload (specific small size only), Liability insurance upload section. Distributors will not have a login. Must haves: 1. Have space to advertise on the front page and is visible only to installers who have signed up and logged in. 2. A “find installers page” so that consumers can find the closest installers to their postcode easily. 3. Each installer will have a profile page and when clicked, it will take you to their page. 4. The ability to take payments for leads i.e. consumer posts a job, installer sees the job, but the contact details are hidden until the installer pays the fee to display the contact details. This is not essential at the start, but the feature needs to be easy to add in the near future. 5. Easy content management system so that the site can be updated anytime. 6. Email facility so that we can email all installers easily. 8. File repository for our logos and other photos. 10. Analytics on how the website is performing i.e. traffic and click throughs. Nice to haves: 1. The site to be developed into an APP for the installers so they can buy leads from their phone at any time.
