Hi, I currently have a personal budget that is in the form of a 2 rather long and complex excel spreadsheets. You enter in your income (salary, interest earned, dividends) in their native format (fortnightly, monthly etc), then add in expenses (in their native format, e.g. monthly school fees, or quarterly gas bill etc) and it is all calculated and spat out into a weekly amount. From there, a separate excel sheet has the various headings down column A (mortgage, credit card, doctors, groceries) and across the rows, the weekly amount which is required to be put aside to be able to cater for these items for the year. A template with some of the calculations is attached. I am looking to have an executable and very user friendly program written to avoid using excel for managing my budget. If you need more info, just ask.

The main topic would be of course retrieving all the legacy data from the excel sheet(s) in order to create an historical archive of the past expenses/incomes. Hi! 2) Instead of hard-coded key codes it would probably be better to create separate application (only for your personal use) to generate codes from the data user sent to your email. 3) Program will be written in wxWidgtets, so it will run on Windows, Mac and Linux. I assume data have to be stored in file or database. Is it OK for you to store only 1 year data per file? I see printer icon on screenshots. Does application have to print any reports (how many types)? No more questions for now. Estimated time: 7-15 days. Best regards, Daniel.
