Hello, I am a professor at a community college where I teach court reporting. This requires me to dictate copious amounts of text material to students at multiple speeds. In order to do this, I must be able to mark the material in 20-word increments. I am providing a link to a free website that will do this for some types of material to give you an example: [login to view URL] What I need is to be able to have a software that would count Question and Answer material without counting the Q's and A's. Here is an example: Q State your name for the record. A My name is Kolleen Barnes. Q Where do you live? A I live in Cleveland, Ohio. I need a software that would put a slash mark after every 20 words (but not count the Q's and A's) That's it! Simple, right? I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a Microsoft Partner and a software developer since over 20 years, with extensive experience in office automation (look at my portoflio). My proposal consists in an Windows desktop application that automatically inserts the necessary slash in the text, without counting the Q and A letters for Question and Answer. The text to modify can be copied and pasted into the application, but it is possible to evaluate together the possibility to import it (for example from a text document with the extension .txt or Microsoft Word) and also to save it, to automate and simplify the entire transformation process. Hi. You are right, the task sounds pretty simple. I think it does not cost 750$, but I cannot place bid for less because you specified it as a lowest budget. I would create a desktop application for you (for Windows). If you are not using Windows, we could discuss other possibilities. P.S. The milestones just specify phases, and proportional amount of time needed for each phase...

If you imagine a web application that allows you to upload a text file, and then produces a preview of the result, which you can either adjust and re-try or if happy, click on to download. If I understand correctly this is about parsing a text file only.
