Due to WP Theme update, the WP site CSS configuration was updated. Past programmers must have updated the parent theme versus the child theme. A past configuration is available on a subdomain, but I can't find what files are different in review of the wp_content directory. TASKS: - Understand the past configuration and make the new configuration work the same by updating individual files. - Define each file path that is modified for my records if this is so. - If the update is within the parent theme file, convert the parent update to a child theme to prevent this from happening again if possible. If not possible, justification needs to be provided. -Review and provide guidance to reduce the number of rows in Table wp_postmeta. This is a very very large file and it affects UpdraftPlus Backup Plugin. May require a different plugin if this is the fault of UpdaftPlus. Justification is required to understand why wp_postmeta should stay the same. -Review and recommend if the font size for the mobile option is required. It looks large to me. - Knowledge of WHM and Cpanel - Wordpress theme - Emmet Lite / Emmet Child - Good template - [login to view URL] - Required update - [login to view URL] Good English skills are required and communication via text / emails are required Boiler Plate responses will be ignored. Write an original response. The project will be awarded in three days due to holiday.

I think since your data is there in the database, someone can simply create a child theme on top of a wordpress installation and configure it for you. It will be a longer route to adjust the current installation.. thats what I think as of now. Tx

The size of wp_postmeta is a problem and there's also wp_commentmeta as they filled with junk such as meta data of deleted posts and revisions and they should be cleaned from time to time to reduce DB size and help improving site performance. To do this we will start be cleaning the site by deleting unused plugins, trash posts and post revisions and there's lot of WP plugins can do all this for us but in certain stage we will need to run some SQL commands that will do the rest of work for us. Anyway this is not problem and wp_postmeta and wp_commentmeta will be cleaned. Just i will need full access to the server (files and DB) plus the WP-admin info and all the work will be finished as you like to match the good version you listed. Hi, while things would be more clear after inspecting the code of parent/child, few ideas first on theme then on wp_postmeta - it's parent theme which should be updated, rationale is so to keep it's child themes from breaking by updating only master - however sometimes programmers develop custom code inside child theme; in some situations this could be justified, but usually that's not good practice - on some sites I've worked issue was in outdated parent theme; meaning parent theme was 1-2 years old, updated version had some new functions added and other removed, but child theme was using removed functions (there was no backward comp.) so it was breaking ---------- Problem with wp_postmeta is, in essence, problem of WordPress architecture. Different parts of WordPress and it plugins eco-system are saving data in that table, so quickly it become large, making sites slow. Because of the nature of problem, issue can be tackled on different levels, that is, on different layers of the server/web stack. For example number of plugins and theme itself can contribute to large wp_postmeta and wp_options table (eg, multipurpose and multifeature themes). Similarly like you write it could be that UpdraftPlus plugins are causing the issues. Regards, Ivan
