I have a web site where we collect the users email address on the index page before they can go to our 2nd page but our mailing list provider is having a lot of server issues and it times out sometimes. I need a script that will automatically redirect the user to my 2nd page if they submit their email and my mailing list providers server hasn't responded within 5 seconds (because if their server is down, the user can't get to our 2nd page so the purpose of this script is to redirect them to the 2nd page when the mailing list providers server is down however if the mailing list providers server is up, the page will work normally and the script won't do anything.
