Hi There If you don't need any downtime then I'll have to reconfigure everything as configured in the current EC2. Thank you for posting AWS Task , i am expert in Linux Platform and hope that your website is in Linux OS and you are planning to upgrade your ec2 instance to higher plan . I am really interested to work on your Server Upgrade task and as i was doing job in reputed IT Company as server administrator so this task will be completed successfully within time. I will not going to hamper on your current ec2 instance as you mention that your website need to be up during migration. This can be done easily , i mean after setting your new server i can move all hosted website files database into new server than you need to update your DNS only . DNS propagation will take maximum 1/2 minutes with CDN. So this will not going to impact much to your visitors.
