I have a machine running Windows XP connected to a printer, I have shared this printer on the network.
On the same network, I have a Windows 98 SE machine running. On this computer, I have added the shared printer from the Windows XP machine.
Whenever I try to print something on the Windows 98 machine, the Windows XP machine sees the following (in the printer status):
1) The document name is always "Remote Downlevel Document"
2) The total pages is always 0
I need to find a solution, a setting, whatever needed, to have the actual document name show on the Windows XP machine, but most importantly the correct total amount of pages the print job is. These variables are then used by some other program I have that monitors the print queue.
Thank you,
David
