Get curser position on key down

I need a way to retrive the curser position on key down. Im not talking the mouse curser. When your focus is on a RichTextBox as you type. with each keydown event I need the curser position which as you type will go up or down according to the keys pressed. I can get this info on the mouse events because an x and y value is passed from those events. but those values arn't passed from the keyboard events.
