Hi, I have a lot of experience of migrating joomla sites Lately I have completed a number of such projects and some of them on freelancer.com. I'm therefore skilled and qualified to handle your project. As you probably realized there is no reliable automated way to upgrade from 1.5 to 3.2. therefore a lot of work has to be done manually your sections and categories should not be a problem and I can keep the IDs to make sure your SEO ranking don't get affected, however your Jomsocial content will be more time consuming. I have a few qustions fro you. Which version of Joomla (3.2.2?) and Jomsocial (3.0.5.3?) are you running. Do you have any customized templates? Have you already converted your Joomla template from 1.5 to 3.2? Besides Jomsocial do you have any third party or even customized extensions installed? A list of these would be useful to check that there is a Joomla 3.2 compatible version or at the least an alternative. A link to your website would also be useful. How many users register every week? For upgrades I like to take a snapshot of the current site, clone it and work off the clone for the migration. If you have a lot of new users or content for the next two weeks I would have to refresh the snapshot just prior to the switch over. Your site might be available for reading but not publishing during a period of time to make sure that we don't miss any content. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
