Gradient Labs is developing a community-driven website for a neighborhood group on a very tight schedule. Phase 1 of this project - a Beta version of the site without all functionality but with most public-facing pages in place - must launch by December 30th. If you are unable to commit to this deadline, please do not bid on this project. The MVC framework we are using (details in documents) enables very rapid development. You will not be responsible for page designs, just their implementation. Required Skills and Technical Background The developer or team must have the following skills: - Grounding in object-oriented coding practices - Experience with object-oriented PHP5 - Writes standards-compliant and efficient XHTML and CSS - Advanced Javascript and familiarity with AJAX - Fluent English, good communication and collaboration skills In addition, the following will be very helpful: - Previous experience with a Model View Controller (MVC) framework - A formal computer science or engineering education - XML, RDF, and REST-style APIs - Experience modeling entities that change over time - Visual design experience, the ability to adapt and extend provided designs to other pages, and sensibilities that emphasize clear presentation of information. Complete detail is provided in the attached documents.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
