I need a DLL written that can be called from Delphi or VB.Net that will open up the default email client and prepopulate the FROM, TO, SUBJECT, BODY and it must also be able to add an attachment.? ? Oddly enough, we do not want the DLL to send the email.? There are plenty of existing DLL's I can purchase for between 20 and 100 USD that will do everything and send the email via SMPT.? But we do not want to send the email.? Just open up the send window dialog and the user will click SEND when he or she is done.
In VB.net I tried using the [login to view URL]() method, which works fine except I cannot get it to add an attachment.? Being able to add the attachment is critical.
Example of how I hope to call the DLL you are going to write.
(The names I used are just an example)
DIM EmailDLL as new [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] = [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] = [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] = [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] = [login to view URL]
[login to view URL]("[login to view URL]")
A $25 bonus if you the [login to view URL] method can be called multiple times, or if we can pass it an array of filenames so that we can have multiple files attached.
[login to view URL]("[login to view URL]")
[login to view URL]("[login to view URL]")
[login to view URL]("[login to view URL]")
or
dim Files(2) as string
files(0) = "[login to view URL]"
files(1) = "[login to view URL]"
files(2) = "[login to view URL]"
Remember, this DLL is not sending any emails.? It is simply opening up a new "Create Mail" dialog in Outlook, Outlook Express or whatever other program is set up as the default email program on the users machine.
Comment back if you have any questions...
