I have the sources to a .dll file that I use, written in Visual C++. It is used to do a systemwide hook to NtQuerySystemInformation and hide the application from the Windows Task list in XP. Unfortunately it contains a bug, and it crashes for some machines. The bug is probably simple and easy to fix. It should be less than an hour if you know what you are doing. In order to find if you can reproduce this bug (so you can actually fix it) download OverSpy from [login to view URL] and install it. If it crashes your Explorer the bug in the .dll occures. Then close OverSpy to restore your Explorer (no harm is done to your system). I am sure it is easy to fix this bug, you may even see it immediately when looking at the sources.
