this project may or not be difficult.
I want to create a project based on asp.net where all requests for files (aspx, wav, html, etc) are proxied through to another server.
For instance, I want to point at
http://localhost/myproxyapp
and it forwards request to
<http://otherserver/realapp/>
if I then navigate to ./[login to view URL]
it will send the request (not redirect) to <http://otherserver/realapp/>[login to view URL]
if an image is requested ./images/gif we get from <http://otherserver/realapp/>images/gif
etc.
I think the way to do this is to create an http handler and register in [login to view URL] for all types (*) and then just open ports on remote server and forward response back.
someone really good can figure this out.

after some study, I think it is fairly clear that we need to use a proxy server approach and PORTS to do this.
Here is an example of taking this approach. Given this, we would end up with a range of ports that we assign to be proxies through to the applications.
we direct to
http://localhost:8080/[login to view URL]
it goes to
http://remoteserver:80/[login to view URL]
If this is wrong, please tell me. tx.
