Customise FreePBX to feed play mp3's when icecast stream starts -- 2

I run a service that streams meetings via mp3 to icecast for live playback. Scripts are called on Stream Start and Stream Stop to log these connections onto a database. Separately (and the purpose of this task) - I'm configuring a freepbx server to enable listeners to also dial in and listen to this mp3 via a conference calling service. The reason for using conference call is authentication is required to listen to the meeting and there could be more than 1 listener. I've previously trialled various .call files to use the playbackmp3 function to try doing this however for various reasons this has not worked as well as I would have hoped (for example: when using the music on hold method service results in a huge number of errors stating stream not found when the broadcast is not taking place). So I am looking for someone to write a couple of scripts that can be called from the primary icecast server when the stream starts and stops to "patch" the mp3 into a designated conference room. I'm using Freepbx 12.0.29 at the moment.
