Position based in Madrid. English language is required, Spanish language is considered a plus. Minimum requirements: Extensive and demonstrable experience with Java. Application development experience on building large scale, high volume (5000 TPS) and REST– compliant web services using Java in Cloud based environment. Talented server-side specialist Java developer with experience building multi-threaded applications using Design Patterns Delivery experience within a mature agile environment. Experience in Agile methodologies – Kanban, SCRUM, Lean etc. Knowledge and experience of a wide range of best of breed open source and commercial technologies In-depth experience of developing high capacity, high traffic, high availability SOA solutions Experience working with version control systems I.e GIT, SVN Experience working with SQL and ORM tools such as iBatis, Hibernate etc Experience working with no-SQL technologies like cassandra, mongo db etc Experience working with JMS (MQ series) Previous experience with JVM performance tuning, garbage collectors and EHCache Strong Spring experience Strong experience in building RESTful services using JAX-RS, Spring MVC etc Experience in setting up test frameworks and QA Independent problem solving skills, ability to write code that scales well Proven record of taking a senior role within a development team and delivering solutions First-rate communication skills and strong customer ethos Ability to showcase your work to product owners and business stakeholders Desired skills or qualities: Demonstrable experience with at least two or more programming languages such as Scala, Groovy Ruby, C#, C++ etc. An enthusiasm and aptitude for learning new skills and practices Extroverted and likeable personality as face to face communication is vital Proficient at communicating effectively with team members and senior stake holders
