Senior Cloud Architect for Technology Consulting Firm

A well established IT Consulting firm based in NYC is looking for a Senior Systems Architect to join the core team. Organization is looking to transform its business model into a cloud centric technology consulting firm servicing non profit and health care organizations with 100+ Employees. Characteristics • Extremely detailed • Exceptional memory • Great vocabulary and technical terminology • Thorough • Creative • Resourceful • Too lazy to for repetitive tasks, not too lazy to code • Has a personal lab • Self-taught and early starter • Stays up to date on latest tech innovations Skillset • PowerShell scripting and automation • Knowledge of SharePoint fundamentals and various ways to store and access data • Virtual Network design And Diagramming • Firewall management and traffic monitoring • Familiar with WMI queries and structure • Integrating Active Directory with other systems/applications for authentication and authorization (LDAP, Radius, SAML) Experience • SharePoint migrations - lead • Exchange Migrations - lead • Built and published custom apps/scripts to automate tasks • Design, implement and support of RDS and/or Citrix XenApp or XenDesktop • SQL Database Maintenance and Replication strategies Responsibilities • Research and Development ○ Discover, identify and test new solutions and products ○ Own and manage the testing environment ○ Prepare proof of concept deployments ○ Compose technical reports ○ Write subject specific articles • Professional Services/Engineering ○ Prepare scopes of work for new client engagements ○ Design solution architecture documentation ○ Create technical runbooks and documentation ○ Own the technical Knowledge base and configuration management system ○ Account for the quality of technical project deliverables ○ Act as final escalation point for all technical incidents and recurring problems ○ Provide key insights and guidance on root cause analysis and proactive issue prevention ○ Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure project risks are identified and mitigated ○ Work closely with operations team to develop Disaster Recovery Plans and design replication strategies for mission critical Windows servers ○ Establish system maintenance programs for highly available environments Technology Stack • Active Directory • Microsoft Remote Desktop • Citrix XenApp • Azure Hosting • AWS Hosting • SQL Databases • Firewalls • VPN Technologies (IPSEC and SSL) • Azure AD • Single Sign on (Federation and SAML) • Disaster Recovery and High Availability • Office 365 ○ SharePoint Online ○ Exchange Online ○ One Drive for Business ○ Skype for Business Microsoft Intune
