Windows Media Project

I need a .net program to control window movie files. This will be used to open media files, play the movie, stop the movie, continue the movie, fast forward the movie, and reverse the movie. I need the program to detect the end of the movie and pass control back to the original program. One additional feature is to be able to place text on top of the movie while it is playing. The text will come from xml files, but that is controlled by the existing program. The code will be implemented inside of a larger program that uses multiple screens. So I need to be able to seperate the code into multiple peices. I want to be able to upgrade my Windows Media plugin at will. So the code has to be generic enough to work on the latest plugin from MS. I need the code to be written in vb.net and it will be used in a visual studio project. The deliverable will be a program I can run by itself, the source code that runs it, and the project/solution files that make it up. I will retain all rights to the code.
