Hello I'm interest your project. For solving this task we can use projection geometry and machine vision. With machine vision we can identify object. Projection geometry might be used for calculating size of object. Near object that size need to measure, we need place object with constant size that we know, and then with using projection geometry calculate size of measured object. It's simple way. The hard way, find out position of the phone camera, and calculate size of object. I saw framework for doing that, but not working with it. And for completing that project I need 2 month or more. It's non trivial task.
