We are a start up looking at building a business analytics and visualisation platform. The cloud ready application should be built preferably in Java, should have ability to integrate with all popular databases and work with data provided in JSON/Rest API format, should provide drag and drop functionality for selecting different metrics and performance parameters from the data sources and provide visualisation with different graphs/reports. Ability to pull data from connected tables for same report/graph and from multiple databases for same dashboard is required. A dashboard builder, with widget placement on canvas and export of such dashboards as webpages/embeddable webpage is required. The platform should be built with open source tools (allowable for proprietary development on top of that for commercial use)and libraries or with raw code up. The platform should be OS agnostic and browser agnostic.
