We are starting to implement a new feature in our product. To make this more usable we want to do product recognition of each product contain on videos/pictures. We see that there are librares out there. And think this more a project that delivers a tutorial and working code and also giving us pointer in what to use and how to start. Project description: Create code that does products face recognition based on an amount of thousands of pictures. The match can be done agains a postgres database or files. (We are flexible in the source of this data since we can add this inside our product. (we think these will be a group of threads processing parallely images and an output of which products (more than one) are visible on a single image) Code needs to be able to run on a LinuxUnix server on python or java 10. Python is preferred. Code needs to be be able to accept a png/jpg/video formats and a database of sorts and determine a product face from that database which are on the picture. Solution needs to run on Ubuntu/ CentOS/ or other Linux distribution. Also important is that the solution does not requer runtime licences. Or data to be send external.

To achieve good accuracy in this kind of project we need to apply some more advanced techniques especially since you want to recognize n product in one image. so it is more than improving an open source code. I know my offer is higher than the specified budget in your project, but i think we either need to reduce the scope of the project or increase the budget.. because since you want to integrate the code with your product you need good level of accuracy i think.
