Hi there. My name is Nikolay and I'm Front-end Developer. I gain my skills during a Front-end Developer Techdegree from Team Treehouse. I'm experienced in HTML5, CSS3/Sass/Less, Javascript/ES2015, jQuery and etc. During the techdegree, we had a special Unit course for SVG and CSS3 animations and transitions. I'm using Git and Gulp for automating and version control. About the animation, I can imagine how on an empty background, the spots from left side starts to appear one by one and connecting each other with drawing lines to the right, or the same animation just to start from left and right in the same time. I have lots of experience of CSS animations - but this sounds like it would be best done as an SVG animation if your background is already vector based? SVG animations are great and can do all sorts of interesting things without any Javascript, or prompted by it as necessary. If you are looking for something that is really flashy then perhaps you could go a different way and use PIXI and some shaders to do a WebGL background? Or even further and make your background WebGL and 3D space travel with something like PlayCanvas? I could easily help you with any of those and all are HTML5.
