Hi,
Thanks for the opportunity to bid on your proposal. I am a native speaker of American English with a B. A. in Creative Writing.
This bid is for 1/2 hour conversation to discuss your project--a final edit of your screenplay. This could be via phone, Skype, Facetime, FB, or chat. If you are satisfied with the results of this conversation, we would work out the terms for the project itself.
I am curious to know, since this a final draft, what you are looking for. Proofing? Coverage notes?
I know you’ll be overwhelmed with reviewing the many proposals you’ll get, but if you could spend a few minutes, I would invite you to read excerpts from two of my own feature-length scripts as well as an excerpt from my novel set in 1840’s London.
While these examples may not be similar to your project, they do give you an idea of the range of my voice.
I base my own work and any for-hire work on two sources: John Truby’s “The Anatomy of Story” and Robert McKee’s “Story”. If you plan to write more scripts, these two books are 100x worth their cost. Indispensable.
In addition to having read these books multiple times, I have taken seminars with both McKee and Truby, and I have read at least 100 produced scripts over the years, almost all of them award-winners.
I would be honored to work with you putting the finishing touches on your screenplay.
Best of luck in your search,
Kent
