About WEC WEC is an installable web framework. This framework is built on top of ASP.NET 4.0 with the focus of building state of the art web applications including websites. Multi portal system The framework supports multiple portal installations on it and is equipped with all the features to handle each of these portals independently. At the same time it also protects installed portals from attackers. All of these portals have separate administrator account and may optionally create independent users and roles. Each of the portals data are also separated with the sandbox data architecture. Being a multi portal system, this is a perfect fit for an enterprise where branches or departments can be represented with independent portal identity while still staying together within one unit and remains integrated. All the portals built on top of this framework enjoy template based mechanism where the design of each portal could be different than others. Creating a template in this framework is absolutely free from back end intervention and hence can be independently designed by a web designer with the knowledge of HTML and CSS to weave the design for the portal. Extensive System The framework is extensive as it supports plug and play components. There are many plug and play components available off the self with the installation. These components are called modules or popularly known as plugins. The plug-ins helps extend the features available to the framework and consequently enrich the platform.
