i am looking for a pin art system that is electronic i wish to be able to instruct each pin to move up and down a total of 100mm ideally i would have 2500 pins moving independantly of eachother so that they could build a 3d image on instruction and clear that image and do another image quickly. there have been a few attempts to do this before and i have seen examples via google search "electronic pin art for example" The system must be fast The system must be cost effective

Just to drive each dot (on/off) position and to send the image via serial port on a regular PC (that means not so fast) or via SD card (much faster) but a little bit unpractical. If you need faster option pls. let me know. Best Regards, Michael Noel

VKSourcing is a Canadian led group of world-class engineers based in Shenzhen, China. We do sourcing, R&D, prototyping, contract manufact., QA, and shipping. Sounds like a great project! The biggest (hahahha) problem is how to drive the pins; micro solenoids?, cam drive, servos, or piezo(not enough drive length), or electrical deformation.
