I have an accounting software built for my firm in 1989 using COBOL. The application is outdated and I am preparing to build a new software to cater to my needs. Therefore I need the DATA stored in my application to be retrieved and stored in any kind of database so that I can get my engineers to work on it and build me a new software. Since COBOL is a very old programming language I am facing problem in getting an engineer who is familiar with the technology. I have the source code of the software and my data are stored in files with extension ".dat" . Since my data is of confidential nature i can handover the source code and one of the database files for examination.. But the final extraction will have to be done on my computer physically or by using remote controlled softwares like teamviewer.

Greetings, I started out in mainframe work in the 80's and programmed in COBOL/JCL/CICS up until Y2K and a little after... Started in the US Navy, where if you know your history a Navy Admiral ... Grace Hopper, was the lead on the team that developed COBOL. I also know Hollerith code... language of the punched cards.. Please check yuor PMB for more details... Kind Regards...

Over 12 years experience between 1983 and 1995 on COBOL applications on Flat Files and on Oracle Pro*COBOL. Can extract data from both Flat sequential files or indexed files or relative files. Can complete this project on Teamviewer in 14 days. Payment thru bank transfer only as I do not have PayPal a/c.

Dear Sir. I have been working with mainframe COBOL since 1982 without a break. I have a vast experience in programming even in assembler (systemZ). I can do this work in home as I can access an IBM mainframe all the time. If you prefer, I can put the data in a flat XML file.
