IPM (Isopropyl Myristate) is: "A scentless clear mineral oil to mix with perfume oils and other scented oils". If that's true, then it can't replace alcohol. You'd end up making oil based fragrances (nothing wrong with that, if you want to) instead of alcohol based fragrances

I have graduated from Faculty of science with honor degree in Biochemistry/chemistry department. I have developed many fragrances. Now, I work on my PhD degree on Organic chemistry. In addition, I have industrial, research skills that will be an asset when developing new products. With Regards to your project, Iso Propyl Myristate, or even DPG, Dipropylene Glocol for water based perfumes and I recommend Jojoba oil as carrier for oily based perfumes.
