custom coinbase payment option

I would like to tap into the coinbase API and develop an option to pay via bitcoin that would ONLY be available depending on the current exchange rate. To clarify, if for example the current bitcoin exchange rate was less than $600 to 1, the option to pay via bitcoin would become available to our customers. We current accept bitcoin only but are hard at work on a proprietary web based POS for our sales agents and b2b partners to sell via traditional merchant services. So we will be accepting visa, mastercard, debit as early as the end of this week but we'd like to continue to support bitcoin just not all the time. Not to avoid currency risk but to increase profits gained from the up trends.

Dear donnymillions staff, no offense, but from a technical point of view, this is not a bitcoin project - the technically important characteristics would be the APIs to use, and the web platform you are using, where it must be integrated. Anyway, during the past 2 years, I have not only gained experience on working with the Bitcoin at the technical level, but also followed the community, so I would still be glad to help. Some questions: * is it correct that the option to pay via bitcoin unconditionally is already implemented? * where do you want to get the exchange rate data from? coinbase doesn't provide this as far as I saw in the documentation * what web platform are you using (programming language / framework / CMS)?
