Looking to have a program developed to check-in people to parties and events that will do the following: Must run on Windows XP Professional and be idiot proof to use (end user). Set up can be a bit more complicated but end user experience must be SIMPLE Import a database from an excel worksheet/workbook (Office 2003/2007). Capture information from a guests when their individual barcode is scanned (all barcodes are 10 digit numbers only). Search the imported database from the scan for an exact match from the barcode scan and diaplay information assiciated with that match (from excel row...Name, etc). Should be able to customize what is displayed upon scan match, depending on what columns, etc. are in the database Display if the matched scan in over the age of 21 or under from DOB info in the database row Have the ability to mark a matched scan as attended with a single key stroke as well as if the match has a guest with a second key stroke (no mouse usage requirement preffered) THEN automatically return to new beginning to capture the next scan (or maybe with a third key stroke) Have the ability to imput NEW information into the database if a scan is not found (new excel row) to match existing columns Display total number of marked scans and guests (seperately AND combined)
