Build an Online Video Game Store (Sell and Rent)

Hi, I'm looking to build an online web store to sell and rent video games. I'm open for suggestions regarding using Magento or any other software as long as it provides the basic functionality. Requirements: 1. Ability to sell and rent. The customers can add to the shopping cart to buy new or used video games. If they have a rental subscription, they would be able to add the game to the rental queue and we'll ship the game, expecting the customer to return it or buy it at used price. 2. In the customer's account, there should be a section to view the rental queue. The customer can browse the catalog and either add to shopping cart (new or used) or add to rental queue. The rental queue will show the list of games waiting to be shipped. 3. Inventory will show games available for purchase (new) or games available for rental (used). What is the successful criteria for this project? 1. I would prefer a setup in Amazon Web Services, but if you can provide a cheaper option that would be fine as long as it provides no maintenance headaches. 2. A way to scale vertical or horizontal. 3. Web and Database must be decoupled, not in the same host. 4. Documentation for everything: how to troubleshoot common issues, how to scale new servers, how to do backups, etc. 5. The online store customizations must have been tested working with the base functionality.
