i'm looking for a web app for my customers to use as a portal, I need an application for my technicians, I need a status application for iphone or android that my customers can use. Process would be as follows. 1. customer decides to purchase service and or products. the customer will choose delivery or service date. 2. customer fills in credit card info but charge not processed. 3. service request goes into DB for scheduling and assignment to technician. 4. service date arrives , tech knows what jobs they have and what parts they need. All services and parts needed are available to the technician from their tablet. 5. tech arrives at customer location and performs service. tablet app allows tech to take notes and pictures for attachment to the customers account. then when service is complete customer signs tablet and credit card is charged. 6. technician then goes to next scheduled job. 7. customer receives receipt for service I would prefer this run on SQL and the web app , mobile phone app and tablet app all talk to this DB. the different devices might do different things. for example the tablet app ( iphone or android i'm not locked into one or the other. ) would be more for techs and managers and would allow much more data collections/entry than the web app which would typically be used by the customer to purchase and schedule service. however the mobile phone app would probably just be for receiving service alerts and looking at account balances and invoices etc. I believe this will be an ongoing engagement as the applications and database are developed.

I have multiple queries that I need answered from your side to understand your requirements in detail. 1. What kind of products/services you want to offer through this portal? Would this be a multi-product/service offering portal or specific to a single product/service type? 2. Do you want native mobile apps of for technician and customer for accessing their accounts, or only need mobile/tablet version of web application? Both options are feasible and later one would be cost-effective. 3. How technicians would be notified for new customer orders? This one is a complexed features that we need to understand because this requires matching the job with technician skills, short-listing of technicians with skills and availability for the job assignment, and what if an assigned technician is unavailable to perform the job on specified time. I would like to hear your thoughts behind this. There are many other queries that I can not list here.
