I can remove lines (or rows, it's Excel after all...) from file A where a particular field matches a particular field in file B. I can also provide a list of the items which were not removed, to be handled manually. I will not do any manual edits, as it will inevitably involve some guesswork. But if the data quality is as good as you say, finding and removing the remaining entries should be a simple task.
