Find me a supplier of 5/16" threaded blind nut insert. The insert should be similar to one at URL [login to view URL] ,but at least 5mm shorter threaded size. The nut will be compressed to a 6.4mm material, so the compressible zone should be suitable for this. Manufacturing volume estimate is 20-40k/year, price target $0.20. The material should be plated steel, not aluminum.
