I think your ideas is great, but I have to be honest the level of expertise required to build an interface like the one on custom ink is higher than the max that you had listed for this project. I can build what you are wanting, but I just wanted to be straight forward about the difficulty in finding someone who can do that as well as it is done on customink.com.
