Bash script in osx to work with command that ask for password then execute

Hi all, I am writing a script to run in osx. basically is getting a full diagnosis from a storage unit. activeadmin -d "ip" save config /path/to/the/save/file I am trying to automate that on a cronjob but the problem is that activeadmin is asking for a password and i don't know how to get the script to work with that. One option is use "expect" and "send" commands. Anyway if you have done something similar please let me know.
