app utilizing GPS

I am looking for someone with experience with linking an application to the gps so that the application can record the location of the device and it's speed Brief project description: The project is for iOS (An iPhone Application). a) The app should monitor the distance a person walked while the application is on, To do so the app will have to identify the speed of the movement in order to exclude movement by a car, train Etc. b) The application must store the information locally (on the IPhone) and then pass it on to a remote server. c) The user must be registerd on the server, in order to be able to collect the information about distance each person walked Etc. The goal is to be able to analyze the information by groups of person, date, and distance Etc (on the server side).
