Dicom File Sorting

We need a small application which involves basically two steps: 1) From a given root folder, the application shall a) scan all subfolders for dicom files (well known standard, many libraries available), b) create a small preview image for each dicom image found, c) move individual image slices belonging to one 3D dataset in one ZIP-file (create one preview for entire ZIP), d) extract some metadata (such as modality or examination date), e) modify some metadata (e.g. replace patient name), and finally f) save the extracted metadata and relative path in a json file per top-level folder found in the root-folder. 2) For each top-level folder (which includes files for one specific patient), a) allow entering of some metadata applicable to all files within this folder, b) chronologically display all found files for this top-level folder via the preview images, c) allow in the GUI a drag'n drop of the files into a destination container d) write the metadata from 2a) in each file dropped into the destination e) zip all files from the destination into one ZIP-file f) repeat for the remaining top-level folders Ideally, the GUI is created via Qt. Even though the purpose is just a little internal tool, it needs to be written in clean, well written and properly documented Python 3.x code.
