date and time extraction from excel text parsing

I have a excell file which has a specific column of text which contains date and time information as a text data-there could be other irrelevant details like names of people. The task is to extract valid date-time from the cell text and store the result as a valid date field in the adjacent column with column name as "valid date"--this request parsing text cell. Example Input date format (similar data will be each row for this column) "Posted/Updated Wednesday, May 30 17:14:43, 2012" Expected output to be extracted a) valid date in extracted to adjacent column b) valid Time extracted to the next column c) rest of the text snippet is saved in the the third column as text d) the original column is left as it is
