Customizable Directory Website (Myspace/Google/MSN)

We anticipate this site to be up there with the major players- yahoo, google, and msn and you will get to put your design tag at the bottom of the site (so keep in mind when pricing) -Membership site- users can sign up for a free membership. -Members will have the ability to customize their directory page anyway that they like. They can either upload graphics of their choosing, choose from a handful of basic templates (basically click and choose- we would need you to create these) or have the ability to do a complete makeover via a css style sheet. (Think MySpace profile customization) The one that we would make live would be pretty basic- and we would give it over to the users to design. -Their setting will be saved, so when they return their site will look the way that they want it to look. -There will be certain things that are static on every page- this includes a list of 30 icons (which we already have created) as well as a few other items that we will discuss further when the project is awarded. -A membership gallery- giving users the ability to upload their settings to a public forum to share with others. So those that don’t know how to do a css sheet can borrow a layout from someone else. I am thinking a forum would work ok here. -Admin abilities- we need to be able to access and download the user database for future manipulation. -The ability to add links to secondary pages- first and foremost it is a directory site. The users will click on a category icon and be taken to a second page that contains a list of links in that category. We will need the ability to edit, delete, add and update these links as needed. We would prefer not to have to code if necessary- so if you can make an admin feature it would be a bonus! Basically we want a fully functional directory site- that gives users the ability to make it their own. We have more plans for the future- so if you have the skill, we want to work with you! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Would need to be cross-platform compatible. We are open to html, css, sql, joomla- whatever you need to make it work.
