Deskbar (Band Objects)

We need a deskbar similar to the Google Deskbar - for an example of how it should look like please have a look at the image [login to view URL] Basic functionality is expected, i.e. a deskbar with combobox and popup menu as well as an additional (empty) window that opens on item click in the menu or on key press in the combobox (the example shows a slightly different version with an edit field instead of a combobox and a window filled with the data we want to display in it later). Key requirements: Stable - the deskbar has to run stable on the platforms Win95 to WinXP (recognize that therefore the use of some known band objects implementations (like the example at [login to view URL]) is not advisable. If your work is based on 3rd party components, be sure that no copyright is violated and the cost for the components is specified in your bid and - combined with your bid - does not exceed the limit given above). Extensible - it must possible to configure the menu and to display additional windows from within the deskbar. We also need to be able to start other processes (with CreateProcess or ShellExecute) and to call DLL functions from this deskbar. Options to customize the deskbar itself would be greatly appreciated, but are not mandatory. Language: Delphi (required to compile on Delphi 7) Please note that this project _has_ to be written in Delphi; we have to be able to add specific code to the project (as the bid request covers only _basic_ functionality) and we use Delphi as our standard development tool. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) Win98 to WinXP and documentation of the steps required for installing (i.e. registry entries, registering COM servers). 3) Exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
