The only thing that may be different from this than most shopping carts is we need the order to come through to us but not actually make any charges to a credit card when it is submitted. Instead, each order will need to be reviewed by hand and once we approve it, we will manually input their credit card payment through the gateway system credit card system we already have in place. The shopping cart software will also need to have the following requirements due to our business being a rental business: The customer information area must be expandable to not only include basic contact and payment info but special delivery instructions and pickup instructions to us. Cart total will have to be broken down by percentages…20% for the deposit and 80% for the balance. Also, we will have a fixed charge added to each order for delivery. This charge will be on each order automatically and the amount will be determined in the admin area. After the order is placed, a complete order form including full custom and credit card info send to a designated email address in a clean and easy to ready format like most order forms. Finally, the “checkout?? portion of the system must have an area where our contract is “digitally signed?? by the customer before checkout can be completed. Our site is currently a basic static site and we will need to add SSl to the order page. I will purchase that through my hosting provider.
