Discover algorithm for convering from one 4-byte value to another 4-byte value

The job is to find the mathematical function (or algorithm), which is used for converting from one 4-byte number to another 4-byte number. For example you will be given input numbers and output numbers: Input (4-byte Hex number): 12 34 56 78 Output (4-byte Hex)? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? :? 89 ab cd ef I can supply you with as many output/input pairs as you want. As an example I have attached the input-output pairs when changing only byte 2. I will provide all combinations that I have. I am not sure, but someone told me that MATLAB is capable of finding mathematical functions. It would be good if you could describe in 1-2 sentences how you intend to find the algorithm.
