BACKPACKER CAR SALES SITE We are a campervan & car rental/sales company in Australia focusing on the backpacker market. We are planning to build a car sales website. The concept should be operationally similar to [[login to view URL]][1] & [[login to view URL]][2] ## Deliverables The goal in the first year is that customer can upload their own cars for free (after the first year we may introduce fees) as well as internal bulk / single uploading functionality for our own car sales branches within Australia. These are the key functionalities for the website: * Customer are able to upload their vehicle’s description along with up to 5 pictures * Our branches (6+) need the ability to bulk upload their stocklist including images directly. * The website needs to have search functionalities based on: * Sales Type (private customer sales cars / travellers auto barn cars / ex travellers auto barn sales car) * Type (Van, Stationwagon, 4 WD, Campervan, Sedan) * Year Model * Month (Month from which the vehicle will be available for sale) * Location * Min ??" Max sales price * Diesel / Petrol * Auto / Manual * Visitors to the site need the ability to send email enquiries to sellers. * SEO friendly (ability to enter automatic metatags, keywords, SEO friendly Urls) ??" these should be set automatically based on the information filled out by the customer e.g. [[login to view URL]][3] (rego number) * The building and structure of the database is more important at this stage than design. However, the look and feel of the site should be easily modifiable. * It should have the ability to add payment options if someone wants to list there car (this is planned in a years time) * The internal uploading of cars should be a very easy process so that the branches don’t have to spend too much time on it * Private customer can automatically create accounts and receive a welcome email with all relevant information. They have the ability to log in/off at anytime. * Virus/Scam/Firewalls for the site * Not open source due to hacking issues * Ability to access website internally and make changes whenever needed ??" basic CRM functionality * Easy crawl functionality for organic search engines * Ability to turn sold cars off and then on again (customers can buy cars from us and then sell them back to us ??" rather than uploading all info again it would be good to simply turn on the listing for the sales car again and just update key details.)
