database application for handling registrations

This is for a school project: it is to write a database application to handle registration for a small academic institute. Your application will involve at least four relations: Students-Instructors-Courses-Registration. These relations link a student to a course taught by an instructor who awards the student a grade when s/he completes the course. You must create the necessary relations and define their attributes and relationships among them. You must also create data entry forms and formulate the queries needed to generate reports. You should create at least four electronic forms on the Web to be filled in by the student, instructors, and administrative staff to negotiate with the database. If the student wants to register in a course, pass this information to your database. If the student is already registered in a course, pass this information to your database, generate a report about the student's grades in all courses and publish this report on the Web. The user should be able to carry out operations on relational databases (e.g. insert, delete, update / modify). Security features should be involved in your implementation. Documentation should accompany your implementation (including an E-R diagram and an analysis and design phase). Your implementation should enable the "project reviewer" to examine your code and documentation without having to visit manually your directory on the server (e.g. publish them on the web). The project is expected to use different media types (e.g. sound, video, animation,…). - be creative! You will have to write the Web interface queries in Perl. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Perl, MySQL, Linux
