Configuration and Asset Management Project

This project is a unique opportunity for motivated programmers. I'm a single individual (with a heavy programming and systems administration background) who has an idea and is looking to make it happen. In a nut shell, I'm looking to enhance existing open source configuration management solutions to become enterprise grade software. I have a good idea of what features need to be implemented as well as what languages, and technologies will be involved. Right now we're looking at two different CM solutions that are open source, a long with a message queuing technology and related protocols. I've done a lot of initial work on documenting the software we're looking to enhance, and have written up a rough draft project proposal. Right now I am looking for experienced Ruby programmers with Client/Server architecture experience. The development platform will be x86 Linux (most likely ubuntu server). I can provide working vmware images or access to a development environment for individuals to work on. Whats in it for you? Well here's the deal. As I said before I'm an individual, not a company. This is just at the idea stage with some initial research put into place. I have started searching for capital for compensation, however this is yet to materialize. In exchange for your time and resources, you will be granted a number of options... 1) When capital has been received, you will be compensated as much as possible. 2) When the product goes live and starts selling you will be put on a regular salary if desired, or back paid for your work. 3) You have the choice of staying on board if desired and receive profit sharing along with a regular salary.
