I want to have a tree view webpart that can handle unlimited amount of data and uses pure tree view object. I also use specific [login to view URL] to feed data. This [login to view URL] format can't be changed (at least for this phase) since the same [login to view URL] is used for other web parts.
- Functionality: It should have general functionality of treeview web part. No need to add routine for add update or delete (at least for this version). But it should expand and collapse and retrieve data at the "right" time. I explained the "right time" in below.
- Data source: Data source is [login to view URL] with specific format.
- Can handle 10000 records.
- Must be tested against 10000 records.
- Naming convention: I need to pass you naming convention before you start so that you follow exactly those. From name space to lower level detail like properties all should follow what I have.
- Environment: Must work on WSS 3.0 This was a general requirement for tree view web part.
The ORG_ID is the unique ID of the first person. MGR_ID is the parent of the person. These two fields are used to show the tree. Name is the one which will be displayed on the tree. (Later on we make field display as variable and determined by the user).
- Retrieve data on demand: Attached text file described what this means. [login to view URL] is as datasource is also attached
