We are looking for a programmer that can make improvements to an e-commerce web site. The web site was based off of the BVC enterprise edition software. [[login to view URL]][1]
The source code has had some modifications made to it so the hired programmer will need to become familiar with the BVC code and our modifications. The site is ASP.net code written in VB.net. We are anticipating that it will take three working days to learn the software.
IMPROVEMENTS:
1. We would like to have a tab navigation system incorporated into our site. When a tab is clicked the page and left navigation bar need to change so that the style is different as well as the content. The style of the tab navigation also needs to change.
2. Our shopping cart is in need of some changes. Currently our shopping cart has a different look and feel then the rest of our site. We would like to make the check out style more in line with our other pages. We also would like to change the checkout process to flow more smoothly in an effort to reduce cart abandons.
3. We offer many deals that are complex in nature and we are currently unable to offer these deals online. We need an offer builder created that is flexible enough to allow deals that include many possible product combinations. The tool must also be easy to use for non-programmer employees.
4. Our product pages also need some tweaking. We would like some style changes made that would restructure some of the elements on each product page. The changes would help clean up the look of the site.
(More info upon hire…)
The hired programmer should posses strong programming skills in the areas of ASP.net and VB.net. They should have e-commerce web site experience and be able to learn quickly. Any prior experience with BVC software a plus.
