Access Drawing Utility

I am interested in a drawing utility which will allow me to draw and print property diagrams on Access 97 reports based on data/dimensions stored in the database. I have examined Polar Draw and dbCAD dev for this purpose. dbCAD dev from AbacoGroup is probably the best activeX upon which to base this although I am open to other suggestions. The drawings required are very simple - boxes for structures, lines for property lines, text and dimension marks, plus the ability to insert various icons/graphics representing obstacles/site features - gas meters, boulders, etc. My biggest concern is the user interface. The actual property dimensions will be entered by the user and stored in a table containing the length of each leg. The table also contains whether each leg continues from the previous one (a structure could interrupt the line), or is the start of a separate leg or enclosed area. The table will not contain the direction the leg is running, so when a starting point is selected, the end point will only be known insofar as its length is concerned. From there the user will add the remaining legs, normally continuing from the previous one, and all legs will normally describe an enclosed area. While most property diagrams will generally be "square", there will have to be some flexibility so that if the measurements do not accurately describe an enclosed area, the drawing still can. The coder will not be required to purchase the run-time or distribution license if the utility is based on an existing product like dbCAD dev. Although if the coder owns said license and if the license permits such use, then perhaps this can be negotiated. The utility can be stand-alone, although preference will be given to having it integrate to an Access form. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. ## Platform Current application is Access 97, so must be compatible with that.
