Custom Audio/Video codec

I’m in the process of converting a windows (win32) based application to a web based application. Part of the application plays back audio and video in a custom format that we have developed. Currently playback is handled directly in the application, however in moving to a web based application I would like to simple be able to embed a media player control into the web page (compatible with both IE & FireFox) to play back the files. Currently the audio and the video are stored in two separate files, and technically the audio could be stored in a number of formats (currently ADPCM24 and Microsoft GSM6.10 WAV) The video format is completely proprietary. I need a codec that is capable of playing the audio and video. I'm not sure if a codec is capable of doing the synchronization of the two files, or if they would need to be combined. This also needs to be streamable from the server. When users play the files I would like to be able to stream the content. Certainly I would also like them to be able to play files locally. It would be nice if this would work on Linux as well, but it is not a requirement. ## Deliverables 1) Signed NDA. The proprietary video format is considered a trade secret and must not be shared with any party 2) Codec that is installable on Windows 98, 2000 and XP to play the files in any media player (such as Windows Media Player and WinAmp) 3) Codec must allow for file streaming as well as playback from the local hard drive 4) Codec must be capable of playing synchronized video and audio, video without any audio, and audio without any video 5) Full source code to the project 5) Instructions for installing the codec without rebooting. A delivered installation package would be nice. 6) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights and ownership to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Must run in standard media players (Such as Microsoft Media Player and Winamp) on Windows 98, XP and 2000 Must be capable of running from embedded media players It would be nice if it could also run under linux, but it is not a requirement
