Data Entry form using .NET 3.5 and Ajax

This Business Directory data entry is used by offshore personnel to enter data directly into our database. These workers generally use an Internet Caf? to connect to our website. Use [login to view URL] datasets to work with the database to allow for a disconnected data architecture implementation. We do not want to post the page on every single update. Instead a local dataset(s) keeps the data in local store and updates the database asynchronously, in the background, using .NET data provider functions, datasets, Ajax techniques and JavaScript, every so many records, say 10. (Any records not saved when the user logs off should obviously be saved before closing down the session.) We want to give the data entry clerk the impression that he is working with a regular Windows program and updating the local hard drive. We use MySql for our database and 3 databases: *mapexa*, for map-related functions, *admin*, for login and user profiles, and *Bdir* for our business directory. The attached VS 2008 project is only intended to illustrate the design and is not to be taken literally. Feel free to implement your own forms. The *AddVendor*, *FindVendor*, and *ModifyVendor* are implemented as pop-up windows that can be moved around the screen. The final design should be a page that is accessed from a subdirectory in our home page, such as <[login to view URL]>. As a follow-on project we wish to incorporate an administrative function we have already written with the Mapexsa site, so that in the future data entry personnel can use the normal login process, which will be password-enabled. For the time being we allow anybody that knows the URL to use the function. ## Deliverables We are looking for good people that can work with us on this project long-term. If you have an interest in GIS applications, so much the better! There is further work down the line if you do a good job on this one. The attached file contains the VS 2008 project, which is to be viewed strictly as a mock-up. Also attached is a readme file that repeats some of the material and expands a little on the requirements.
